PDF Files

The two books that we offer on this site are in PDF Format so that every page will look just the way it was when it was created. There won't be any web site address at the top of the page or redundant numbering or titles. In order to read PDF files you need to have the latest version of Adobe Reader (81.1). If you don't have one you can get the latest version for free by clicking on the "Get Adobe Reader" button. Once you have your Adobe Reader click on the "Get Book" button of your choice. You can save the books on your computer for future reference by clicking on the save icon in the Adobe Reader or you can print them. If you burn it onto a CD you can have a copy center print it from their copy machine. If you choose to do it this way be sure to have them print on both sides of the paper. Because the front and inner covers are one sided I have inserted a blank page after each of them. This was done so that they would remain one sided when you have two sided copies made.

And You Will Know The Truth
How to Explain and Defend The Catholic Faith
by Sebastian R. Fama

And You Will Know The Truth is a compilation of the "Essays" and "Early Church Fathers" sections of this website. Also included is a copy of "The Doctrinal Concordance of the Bible" and a copy of the "How Old is Your Church" page. As described elsewhere on this site the essays rely very heavily on Scripture in demonstrating the soundness of Catholic teaching.

The book is formatted in a way that allows you to easily make copies of anything you may wish to use as a handout. The shorter essays fit onto a single page, the longer ones on two. Permission is given to copy and distribute everything in the book. This book, covers included, is 133 pages long and in PDF format (see note above on PDF files).

It is best to have this book spiral bound at a copy center such as Kinkos or Staples. Spiral binding works best as it allows you to open the book up all the way when you want to make copies to give to friends or detractors.

Directions

  1. Have entire file copied double sided.
  2. Take first page (cover) and have it recopied on card stock.
  3. Put a blank sheet at the end.
  4. Have it spiral bound at a copy center.

Jehovah's Witnesses and the Early Church Fathers
by Michael J. Partyka

Jehovah's Witnesses and the Early Church Fathers documents the deliberate misrepresentation of the writings of the Early Church Fathers by the Watchtower Society. Jehovah's Witnesses are taught that the Early Church Fathers knew nothing of the doctrine of the Trinity. And yet when one examines the very writings of the Fathers they quote we are faced with an avalanche of evidence defending the Trinity. Evidence which can easily be verified by anyone.

Mr. Partyka also takes the Watchtower to task concerning their claim that Jesus was nailed to a torture stake and not a cross. Once again quoting the early Fathers as well as Scripture Mr. Partyka puts that claim to rest once and for all. This book, including the covers, is 53 pages long and in PDF Format (see note above on PDF files). Permission is given to copy and distribute everything in the book.

Directions

  1. Have entire file copied double sided.
  2. Take first page (cover) and have it recopied on card stock.

A Prescription Against "Traditionalism"
by I. Shawn McElhinney

There are two kinds of Traditionalists. One group has a great appreciation for the Tridentine Mass (the pre Vatican II Liturgy) as well as other traditional devotions. This group is loyal to the Church and presents no problem. The other group rejects all of the changes which came about after Vatican II. They reject the new liturgy and consider themselves to be champions of the Council of Trent. Some even claim that there hasn’t been a legitimate pope since Pius XII (1958). Mr. McElhinney has done a masterful job in addressing the accusations of this second group of Traditionalists. Drawing on the writings of the Early Church Fathers, papal encyclicals, Canon Law and Scripture he demonstrates conclusively that the "gates of hell" have not prevailed against Jesus' Church.

This book is not in PDF format and is posted on another web site (Matt's Catholic Apologetics). Thus its use is subject to the terms and conditions listed on that site.
